church in the morning

First Time at Worship?

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Will I fit in here? Where do my kids go? Here is a start to answering some of these questions.  You are welcome to contact us, with any questions.

We are an "open and affirming church", which means we are committed to welcoming people of every race, language, age gender and gender identity, ethnicity, economic status, mental or physical ability, and sexual orientation into the full life and ministry of the church. All are welcome!

What if I'm not sure what I believe?

"No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey you are welcome here!" We are all on a faith journey, at times we may be sure of what we believe and at other times we might be doubting and questioning. Some of us grew up here as "children of the church" going through our Sunday School and youth programs, others of us found our way here from other denominations or from a secular background. So you are not alone in your journey, we are all in this together.

Worship Services

10:00am am Church Service and Sunday School Children stay in church through the beginning of the service.  On the first Sunday of the month, the children stay in service the entire time.
We also have available an early service on a weekly basis.

  • Communion
  • Thirty minutes

Communion is the first Sunday of every month (Communion is served weekly during the early service. We offer gluten free wafers in addition to bread. Out of respect of those who cannot drink alcohol, we use grape juice for the blessed cup of Communion. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome Sundays are the last Sunday of the month –Since the fall of 2007, the last Sunday of the month has been designed to intentionally include persons of differing abilities from local group homes. This service grew out of the desire to have a safe place for everyone to worship together. After the service, all are invited to Voorhees for light refreshments.

What should I wear?

God doesn't care what you wear to church, and neither do we! Dress as casually or formally as you feel comfortable. Most are somewhere in the middle.

We have two handicap parking areas, as you enter the parking lot up on the left (by the side doors are two handicap parking spots. (Bear in mind this entrance has around 10 steps to maneuver.
