Our Services

Welcome to Worship

Visiting a new church can sometimes feel daunting, but at Mt. Sinai Congregational Church, you're embraced just as you are. We're an open and affirming church, dedicated to welcoming everyone, irrespective of race, language, age, gender identity, economic status, abilities, or sexual orientation. All are warmly invited!

Exploring Your Faith Journey

Not sure what you believe? That's okay! No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. We're all on unique faith journeys—sometimes certain, sometimes questioning. Whether you're a lifelong churchgoer or exploring spirituality from diverse backgrounds, you're not alone; we're in this together.

Sunday Worship & Fellowship

  • Join us every Sunday at 10 AM for an inclusive gathering where diverse voices and backgrounds come together to worship God and God's love shown to us in Jesus Christ. Our service includes thoughtful reflection on our faith, prayer and fellowship. It generally consists of Bible readings, a message, prayer and music, and usually lasts one hour.

  • Children are welcome! They start by joining us in church at the beginning of the 10 AM service, then transition to an engaging Sunday School session tailored just for them.

  • Join us for Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We believe that Communion is God’s welcome to all, so we offer the bread and cup to everyone present, as they may be comfortable receiving them. Inclusivity is important to us, so we provide gluten-free wafers alongside traditional bread, accommodating those with food allergies. To honor those who refrain from alcohol, we use grape juice for the blessed Communion cup. Everyone is welcome to participate in this sacred practice.

  • After worship on the first Sunday of the month, we have a time for coffee and refreshments in Voorhees Hall, our large gathering room, where we enjoy catching up with each other’s activities and getting to know visitors to the church.

  • When attending in person isn't possible, immerse yourself in our service through live streaming on our dedicated YouTube channel, "Mt. Sinai Congregational Church, UCC." Subscribe to our channel and find our service under the LIVE tab or follow this direct link for our YouTube Live Stream. Experience the warmth of our community and engage in worship from the comfort of your own space, as we come together digitally to share in the spirit of our congregation's gatherings. Our channel also contains an archive of past services for you to watch.

Sacraments & Ceremonies

  • Experience the sacred sacrament of Christian baptism, affirming our young ones as cherished children of God and warmly welcoming them into Christ's loving community. Baptism ceremonies are available throughout the year. To embark on this spiritual journey with your child, please call the church office. For additional information, please see our baptism resource document.

  • Celebrate your love in the embrace of our church family. Contact the church office to inquire about available dates.

  • In times of loss, our Christian community stands by you. Please reach out to us as soon as possible, allowing us to support you in organizing a memorial or funeral service at our church.

Attire & Accessibility

  • God doesn't judge based on attire, and neither do we! Feel free to dress as casually or formally as you like; most of us opt for a middle ground.

  • At our church, everyone is welcome, and we aim to ensure that everyone can comfortably participate in our services. We offer accessible seating areas on the church's main level for those who may require them. Our facilities also include accessible restrooms to accommodate individuals of all abilities. Your comfort and inclusion matter to us, so please feel at ease to worship with us in a manner that suits you best.

Getting Here & Parking

  • We have ample parking. The traffic flows from the entrance on the property's northwest side, goes behind the church, and departs through the southeast exit. There are two lots on the northwest side and one large one on the exit side. Overflow parking is available on the grass, indicated by ropes.

  • We have two accessible parking areas. Two partially accessible spots can be found on the east side of the church near the front entrance ramp. This entrance has approximately eight steps once you are inside the building. Two fully accessible spots can be found on the other side of the church near the ramp.
