Cultivating Church Engagement

Join the Congregational Nurture Board to engage in various church activities and initiatives. Whether planning church retreats, mentoring new members, supporting the Caring Ministry, organizing youth programs, or contributing to social events and fundraisers, your involvement is vital to our vibrant church community.

Caring Ministry Team: Compassionate Support and Prayer

Our Caring Ministry passionately provides emotional aid for members and friends by offering meals to those in temporary need and heartfelt cards, often crafted by our Sunday school children, to those navigating illness or celebrating life's milestones. Engaged in various community roles, from ushering at memorials to leading Grief Support Groups, we stand by you during tough times.

Central to our mission is coordinating our regularly updated Prayer List, extending prayers and aid to members and their families facing challenges. Whether during hospitalizations, illnesses, emergencies, or health-related changes, we're here to provide companionship and support, aiming to embody our church community's love and care.

We invite all women of the church to join us as we share not just meals but also stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations. This is a wonderful opportunity to build friendships and strengthen the bonds within our church family. Whether a hearty breakfast or a casual lunch, our group gathers to foster connections and fellowship among women in our church community.

Men’s Breakfast Group: Coffee, Food, and Conversation

All men of the church are welcome to join us every Thursday morning at 8 AM at Zona Out East diner in Rocky Point for coffee, food, and engaging conversations.

Crafters' Gathering: Unleash Your Creativity!

Calling all Knitters, Crocheters, and Crafters! Join us in the church every Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM with your knitting needles, crochet hooks, or any other crafting materials as we engage in various projects for charity and fundraising efforts at the Red Barn in the fall. At our gatherings, all skill levels are welcome, and expertise is not required—just a passion for crafting! We value suggestions and eagerly anticipate a time of fun and fellowship as we create together.

Exercise Groups

Casual exercise groups are formed to help keep us fit. Depending on the season and interest, groups have formed to walk at Heritage Park, stretch in the Big Room downstairs at the church or even practice yoga.

Communication & Technology Team: Managing Church Communications

The CommTech team coordinates all communication and technology matters for the church, including marketing efforts, managing the church's online presence and streaming services, and overseeing the church's hardware and software.

GameChangers: Shaping the Church's Future

The GameChangers at Mt. Sinai Congregational Church is a dedicated group that embodies the church's strengths to serve our community better. Through a course titled "Being the Church in a Post-Pandemic World," we've delved into eight key areas to thrive in today's world. As a result, we have presented several community-oriented activities, including a Community Quilt Show, Narcan Training Steeple Showcase music series, and more. We have also attended activities run by other groups to make people aware of what we offer. Join us on our journey of positive change.
